Daily Itinerary:
 
Wednesday June 6th    (D)
Arrive in Chicago (afternoon or early evening) and transfer to your hotel. 
Special welcome dinner and introductions with the entire group.  Rest of evening at your leisure.  Your guide can take you out to some local spots. Overnight at your hotel.   
Thursday June 7th      (L)
Today proceed on a guided excursion to Navy Pier leaving mid morning, at noon board a Lake Michigan cruise, that includes full lunch and entertainment along with offering great views of the city and lake.  Later in the afternoon we will go to Grant Park, site of the world famous Chicago Blues Festival.  http://chicagobluesfestival.org
The Blues Fest has a wide array of food and drinks available for purchase as well as continuous live music on multiple stages.  It’s an event that shouldn’t be missed!  Breakfast and Dinner on your own expense.

Friday June 8th
Today there will be a guided walking tour of the historical “Loop”, Chicago’s downtown. Lunch will be a local Chicago pizza place downtown.  Take a ride on the “L”, Chicago’s famous elevated subway. There will also be an opportunity to visit The Art Institute of Chicago (admission fee not included), located right on Michigan Avenue. In the afternoon we will go back to Blues Fest in Grant Park and enjoy more music and festivities.   Around 8 pm we will climb aboard an open air trolley (which will be stocked with refreshments) and will tour around the city stopping briefly at a couple of Chicago hot spots.  Meals today will be on your own expense.  Overnight at your hotel.
Saturday June 9th
Today we will go to North Avenue beach located in The Gold Coast neighborhood.  There you can play sand volleyball, swim, or just relax in the sun.  There is an outdoor restaurant and bar located right on the beach with live music as well.  Around sunset we will head up to the top of the John Hancock Center to the observatory and Signature Lounge on the 96th floor. You will get incredible views of Chicago from there.The rest of the evening will be at your leisure. Your guide can show the group local watering holes, different neighborhoods, restaurants, or whatever you would like to see.  Meals today on your own expense.
Overnight at your hotel.
Sunday June 10th
END OF TOUR, proceed to the airport to catch your return flight.

Travel Options:

Fly into Chicago O'Hare or Midway Airports and use the following instructions to get to our hotel: 
 
Option A- Proceed to taxi stand and get a cab to Chinatown from Airport  to 214 W. 22nd Place (major intersection within a block is Cermak and Wentworth. 25-30 $ (20 min- 1 hour depending on traffic)
 
Option B- Public Transportation from Airports for Blues Fest trip  2$ one way. (about an hour)
 
From Ohare- proceed to the Blue Line CTA train take train towards Loop/Downtown, transfer to Red Line CTA train at Jackson stop (walk through tunnel), take red Line to Cermak/Chinatown stop and get off train. Walk 2 blocks west on Cermak rd to Wentworth Ave turn left, walk 1 block (on the corner of Wentworth and 22 place (214 W. 22nd place)
From Midway - get on Orange Line CTA heading towards Loop/Downtown, transfer to Red Line CTA at Roosevelt, take redline train 1 stop south towards 95th and get off at Cermak rd/Chinatown stop. Walk 2 blocks west on Cermak rd to Wentworth Ave turn left, walk 1 block (on the corner of Wentworth and 22 place (214 W. 22nd place)
