Wed July 18th (D)
Arrive in
Thursday July 19th (B, L, D) In the morning after a quick breakfast, we will transfer to the start point, which is only a ten-minute ride; in order to begin our river journey. We load our gear into canoes and set off down the river. We set a relaxed pace that allows us ample time to relax on sandbars and explore nearby bluffs. We will stop on a sandbar for lunch, where you can catch some rays, toss a football around, or look for a hawk or eagle soaring above. The river offers the perfect blend of scenery, wilderness, and water/beach activities. During the course of the day you may help yourself to the cooler of snacks, water, beer, and soda that will be provided. Wildlife we may see includes great blue heron, bald and golden eagles, sand hill cranes, deer, and an abundance of small river mammals including otter and beaver. Camp out on a river sandbar, dinner and drinks (soda, water, domestic beer) included.
Friday July 20th (B, L, D) We will have breakfast and continue downstream, doing much of the same kinds of things from the day before. Lunch on the river. . During the course of the day you may help yourself to the cooler of snacks, water, domestic beer, and soda that will be provided We will pick another sandbar and set up camp, cook dinner and sit around the fire with some drinks.
Saturday July 21st (B, L, D) After breakfast, we will paddle a bit more downstream until our finish point, where we will be met and transferred back to our start point and original private campsite from Wed. night. You will have access to hot showers, and a changing room. Saturday afternoon and evening we will have time to relax and partake in activities like volleyball and playing cards once again.
